ST. LOUIS - A man accused in a deadly crash last fall in north St. Louis County now faces a DWI charge in the crash several months later. Prosecutors have charged Zachary Myers, 34, with one count of DWI (causing death of another) in the crash. He was taken into custody on March 30 after authorities acquired a warrant. The victim, 45-year-old woman Laquita Gandy, was struck head-on and died from her injuries. CIMARRON HILLS, Colo. — Authorities say the Sunday wildfire in Cimarron Hills broke out under suspicious circumstances.On Sunday, the Cimarron Hills Fire Protection District responded to a fast-moving wildfire, along with 13 other agencies.They were able to hold the fire at 5.4 acres despite strong winds, low humidity and extremely dry fuel conditions. A San Fernando Valley resident has been convicted of charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection at the United States Capitol.Edward Badalian, 28, of Panorama City, was convicted of conspiracy, obstruction of an official proceeding, and entering and remaining in a restricted building after a trial last month, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a news release. Badalian is scheduled to be sentenced on July 21.According to prosecutors, Badalian's charges were included in an indictment filed against Fontana resident Daniel Rodriguez, 40, who pleaded guilty to four felonies in February, including the assault of Metropolitan Police Department Officer Michael Fanone.
