CHICAGO — For the first time in its ten year history, the South Loop Farmers' Market moved inside the Roosevelt Collection Shops for the winter."We are super thrilled to have a winter season every Saturday through March 30," said Tina Feldstein, one of the vendors at the South Loop Farmers Market Saturday.About 30 vendors will be nestled into Roosevelt's each week during that timeframe. HONOLULU (KHON2) -- A fun joyride or a fatality waiting to happen? A recent survey completed by Anidjar and Levine ruled Hawaii the most dangerous state for cyclists and motorcyclists. The study gave the latest National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data on fatal collisions between the years of 2017 and 2021 in order to compare the amount of total fatal crashes to total fatal crashes involving two-wheeled vehicles. ST. LOUIS - The first weekend of the new year begins with snow around St. Louis. Much of the snowfall came Friday evening, and some still had an opportunity to enjoy the snow on Saturday. Christy Gaus and her husband took their two-month-old and one-year-old daughters out to Francis Park on Saturday morning to play in the snow. “It's a joy,” Gaus said. “We have our other little baby in a bucket seat down there, waiting for us to get down on the hill." ST. LOUIS - Saturday marked the kickoff for the statewide Martin Luther King Jr. birthday celebration.The event was held at Harris-Stowe State University. The celebration marks the beginning of events statewide to honor the civil rights leader.The federal holiday on January 15 will celebrate MLK's birthday. A special state commission is coordinating the activities. ST. LOUIS - Family and friends gathered Saturday in memory of Kishela Wellington, a murder victim who died last month at the age of 20. They released balloons Saturday afternoon in Wellington's memory near Kingshighway Boulevard and Martin Luther King Drive in north St. Louis.
