It can be viewed in the video player above once available.(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The service to honor fallen Parole Officer Christine Guerin Sandoval will be held on Monday, Oct. 9 at 11 a.m. according to the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC).On Thursday, Sept. 28 three parole officers including Guerin Sandoval attempted to contact a suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Justin Kula, in a parking lot at the intersection of North Spruce and West Bijou Streets. Guerin Sandoval and another officer were injured when the suspect attempted to run, driving from the area. Both officers were taken to the hospital where Guerin Sandoval died of her injuries.Kula was later captured after a large-scale search.DOC said services will be held at Praise Assembly Church located at 2000 Troy Avenue in Pueblo. DENVER (KDVR) — The Colorado Lottery celebrates the gas station that sold a million-dollar Powerball ticket by giving away free tickets for Monday night's drawing. During Wednesday night's drawing on Oct. 4, the winning numbers were 9, 35, 54, 63, 64 and the Powerball 1. While no one struck rich and walked away with a billion dollars, one lucky Colorado lottery ticket holder won a million dollars. According to the Colorado Lottery, the $1 million winning ticket was sold at the Shell gas station at 5860 S Kipling in Littleton.Not only did the ticket holder win big, but the retailer that sold the ticket also raked in some cash. If the jackpot-winning ticket is sold, the retailer will get $50,000. For the golden million dollar ticket, the Shell gas station received $2,000. New York (CNN) — Delta Air Lines will pay tens of millions of dollars to settle a class-action lawsuit from customers who said the airline wouldn’t refund their canceled flights in the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.The total sum of claims is $27 million, and Delta will also pay 7% interest in cash or credits on top of the refund. The airline will also have to pay attorney fees, which will cost about $2.3 million, according to the settlement.In a statement Friday, Delta said it does not admit to wrongdoing or breach of contract in the settlement.“Since the beginning of 2020, Delta refunded over 11 million tickets totaling $6 billion, of which 20% took place in 2022,” a company spokesperson said.More than 14,000 customers submitted their claims, which only made up approximately 19% of customers who were eligible, the settlement said.
